Plays and Parlance

Something for everyone who loves drama and interesting talks is the promise of Codsall Community Arts Festival in March 2018.

The Screwtape Letters by CS Lewis – The story takes the form of a series of letters from a senior Demon Screwtape to his nephew Wormwood, a Junior Tempter.
Thursday 15th March 7.30pm Trinity Methodist Church

Old Herbaceous Peter Macqueen takes the role of Herbert Pinnegar who tells of his years of gardening as he dispenses useful tips.
Monday 12th March 7.30pm Codsall Community High School

General Sir Mike Jackson – General Sir Mike Jackson served as Chief of the General Staff and Head of the Army until 2006
Tuesday 13th March 7.30pm Codsall Community High School

A Passionate Life with Robert Powell and Liza Goddard. This play celebrates the extraordinary life and times of the composer Claude Debussy. Christine Croshaw, who devised the piece, plays the piano and Clive Conway plays the flute.
Sunday 18th March 2.30pm Codsall Community High School

The Grand Tour with Gareth Williams, Curator to the Weston Park Foundation
The Grand Tour had a lasting impact on what we consider to be British cultural heritage. Gareths lecture will focus on the Tours legacy, the highlife, fun and hardships of travel in the 18th and early 19th century in what promises to be an informative and entertaining journey around Europe.

Oxford Shakespeare Company Let us just say that this evening of high comedy will be Shakespeare as you have never seen it before.
