As part of their Local Plan review Issues and Options consultation South Staffordshire Council are holding 3 drop in sessions where people can speak with Local Plans officers about the review. The sessions run from 10am until 7pm and anyone can attend any of the sessions, they are not specific to an area. There will also be other representatives from the Council such as Business Hub, Street Scene and Leisure in attendance.
Unlike the SAD exhibitions which were held at a number of villages, this time The Council have decided to focus on 3 bigger venues in the north, south and middle of the district. This is because at this stage, there are no specific sites proposed as the consultation is asking about overall housing numbers and options for locations for growth. The broad locations the Council are asking about include putting development at the larger villages with the best services and facilities; different scales of development on the edge of South Staffordshire such as adjoining Wolverhampton, Dudley, Stafford and Cannock; and possibly a new settlement. All of the options are in the consultation documents.
Residents can also come into the Council Offices in Codsall during normal working hours to speak with one of the Local Plans Team, but we recommend giving us a call beforehand to make sure someone is available.
