Parish Operative. This is a varied role perfect for someone who enjoys being outdoors and takes pride in keeping our village clean, safe, and well-maintained.
The Role at a Glance

Hours: 10 hours per week (Part-time).

Pay: £12.65 per hour (Local Government SCP 2).

Location: Various sites across Bilbrook, including the Village Green, Play Areas, and Allotments.

Times: Mornings. Please note: This role may require a prompt 7:30 AM start on weekdays to open the Village Hall gates.
What You’ll Be Doing
No two days are quite the same. Your varied duties will include:

Grounds Maintenance: Litter picking, weeding, and keeping our benches and bus shelters in good repair.

Safety & Inspections: Checking the Skate Park, Outdoor Gym, and Play Areas to ensure they are safe for everyone to use.

Village Heritage: Looking after the War Memorial and managing the flags on the Village Green.

Bilbrook Village Hall: Minor repairs and maintenance at the Village Hall.
Who We Are Looking For
Local & Community-Minded: We are ideally looking for a local Bilbrook resident who takes genuine pride in the village and its appearance.
Reliable & Proactive: You must be dependable and observant of issues around the village.
Physically Fit: You should be happy to work outdoors in all weather and comfortable with manual tasks.
Communication: Able to work alone and report hazards to the Parish Clerk via email or WhatsApp.
