Join us to hear Matt George talk about trees in Bilbrook. Matt has spent the last three years as Site Manager for the Woodland Trust, managing a range of woodland sites across Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire and south Worcestershire. During this time, he has also been completing a Professional Forestry degree with Cumbria University to further bolster his knowledge and complement his previous masters in Biodiversity and Ecosystem Health. Before joining the Woodland Trust, Matt worked for a few years on a private estate in Buckinghamshire as Head Gardener and Ranger and, before that, at a National Trust site in Warwickshire as Lead Gardener and Beekeeper (as well as assisting with the historic flock of Jacob’s sheep, herd of fallow deer and the wildlife across the estate). In any spare time, Matt enjoys growing a variety of vegetables, learning more about ecology and dabbling in folklore.
