In May 2025, the draft Bilbrook Neighbourhood Plan reached Regulation-14 Consultation status, which ended on 8th July 2025. The consultation feedback and responses have been reviewed and can be seen on the Consultations page. The next stage of the process is for the Plan to be passed for Independent Examination.

Summary of Policy purposes:
BB01 Residential Development: To set out sustainable locations for growth and planning requirements for residential development.
BB02 Neighbourhood Centres: To support a thriving community, maintain and enhance the current
Neighbourhood Centre without loss of the village identity. To promote and maintain a varied and vibrant level of retail, entertainment, community, health, and other business services for residents, keeping the village economy healthy.
BB03 Green and Blue Infrastructure: To protect and enhance the green and blue environments of the parish, including the landscape settings, wildlife habitats, and their connectivity, flora, fauna, and biodiversity, for the future.
BB04 Heritage: To identify, protect, and enhance Bilbrook’s heritage, while enabling appropriate and sensitive change.
BB05 Place and Design: To provide sound, well-built homes and neighbourhoods which provide for local people’s needs, and enable a good life, without harm to the local environment or the needs of future generations.
BB06 Active Travel: To promote sustainable transport which meets the needs of local people and promote active travel, including walking and cycling.
BB07 Local Green Space: To protect green spaces which are of particular importance to local people.
