Music lovers will be delighted with the variety on offer from Codsall Community Arts Festival 2022. With three very different evenings there is something to please the taste of everyone.
Classical music is a firm favourite with festival-goers and this year we are delighted to welcome the CBSO Chamber Ensemble: Oboe & Strings featuring oboe, violin, viola and cello. Amongst other pieces, these four members of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra will be playing Bach, Beethoven and Britten.
Jazz is always a popular evening during Codsall Festival so lovers of jazz will be thrilled by The Chicago Teddybears. This lively band of talented musicians give foot stomping performances which encompass many styles of jazz from Dixieland through New Orleans to mainstream and on to swing and jump-jive.
Offering a folk musical tradition is The Reel Note Band. This band has an enviable reputation for passion, pace and precision on the tough Irish set-dancing circuit. Traditional melody instruments are backed by guitar, acoustic bass and bodhran guaranteeing an evening of sparkling entertainment. The acoustic band performs mainly traditional and occasional contemporary music in a range of styles and on this occasion, the band will be supported by two Irish dancers. The band’s two CDs will be on sale.
Dates, venues and ticketing arrangements for all Codsall Festival’s events will be released early in 2022.
