Annual Return and Audits

The Parish Council is required to summarise it’s financial position and confirms that it has complied with the governance requirements that define good management practice. Electors have the right to inspect the Parish Council’s accounts.  Please click on the links below to see the returns for each year and the related notices.

Please note:

  • The Annual Return is a scanned pdf documents and does not comply with the Accessibility Regulations 2018. These documents can be provided in
    an alternative format or on alternative media, on request.
  • Due to Covid-19 the requirement for the inspection period to include 1 July 2020 to 12 July 2020 inclusive was removed for 2019-2020.
  • Hard copies are available from the Parish Council Offices by appointment.

The Transparency Code – Bilbrook Parish Council falls between the Transparency Code for smaller authorities (with an annual turnover not exceeding £25,000) and the Transparency code for larger authorities (annual income or expenditure (whichever is the higher) exceeding £200,000)  however, applies with the Code for smaller authorities as best practice.  All day to day expenditure is published in the minutes of Parish Council Meetings
